Terms and Conditions
The rules and guidelines governing your use of the Epstein Files Archive, including our editorial disclaimers and limitations of liability.
Effective Date: February 20, 2026 Last Updated: February 21, 2026
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Epstein Files Archive website at epsteinislands.com (the "Site"), operated by the Epstein Files Archive Editorial Team ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. Purpose of the Site
The Epstein Files Archive is an educational, ad-supported resource that documents the Jeffrey Epstein case through:
- Court Documents & Legal Filings — Verified copies and summaries of indictments, depositions, court orders, and plea agreements sourced from PACER, CourtListener, and government releases.
- Official Government Records — Department of Justice press releases, FBI records obtained through FOIA, and government agency reports.
- Timeline of Events — A chronological record of key events in the Epstein case, sourced from court records and reputable reporting.
- Investigative Analysis — News coverage and editorial analysis attributed to our editorial team, with all factual claims supported by cited sources.
- Topic Pages — In-depth reference pages on key subjects, individuals, and legal proceedings related to the case.
The Site is intended for research, journalism, and public interest purposes.
2. Editorial Standards and Accuracy
We strive for accuracy in all content. Our editorial standards, described in detail on our sourcing methodology page, include:
- Source Hierarchy: Primary sources (court documents, government records) take precedence over secondary reporting. We do not rely on anonymous social media posts, partisan blogs, or unverified aggregators.
- Citation Standards: Every factual claim includes inline attribution and numbered source references with direct links and access dates.
- Corrections Policy: We correct verified errors promptly and note all corrections at the top of the affected article with the date of correction. Correction notices are preserved permanently.
- Victim Protection: We follow a redaction policy guided by the Crime Victims' Rights Act, journalistic ethical standards, and court-ordered sealing requirements. We do not publish victim-identifying personal data.
Important: Inclusion of any individual's name in our archive does not imply guilt, criminal activity, or wrongdoing. All unproven allegations are clearly labeled as such. Association with Jeffrey Epstein, as documented in public records, does not constitute an accusation.
3. Permitted Use
You are welcome to:
- Browse and Read all content on the Site for personal, educational, or research purposes.
- Share Links to any page on the Site via social media, email, or other platforms.
- Quote and Cite our content with proper attribution to "Epstein Files Archive" and a link to the source page on our Site.
- Use for Journalism — Reporters and researchers may reference our content with attribution.
4. Prohibited Use
You agree not to:
- Misrepresent Content: Alter, modify, or take our content out of context in a way that changes its meaning, removes caveats about unproven allegations, or falsely implies accusations against named individuals.
- Remove Attribution: Republish our analysis or summaries without crediting the Epstein Files Archive as the source.
- Automated Scraping: Use bots, crawlers, or automated tools to bulk-download or scrape the Site's content, except for standard search engine indexing.
